I believe painting activates my creativity and my awareness. I communicate through my artwork in the abstract and expressionist style. Abstract-expressionism painting allows me to take help from the subconscious mind and present emotions like fear, sadness or happiness to the audience through color, lines and form.
Collections
My paintings are divided into 2 collections;
I found my artwork in the abstract and expressionist style because this caused huge changes in my mood and communication with the audience. I liked to use the visual language of shapes, moods, colors and lines to combine in my paintings.
I felt that I don't like to show a person, a place or something natural in this world, and if it happens, it should be without any visual reference. I believe that the facts jump out from within the artist! This style requires feelings, inner strength, memory and non-material ideas. In fact, my feelings are derived from imagination or inspiration from an event.

About
The Artist
My name is Nashmin Riazi and I live in England but am originally from Iran. I'm an abstract and expressionist artist.
I have been painting for over 27 years and started off as a realist painter.
As a little girl, I used to draw on anything I could see. On my hands, on my face, on the walls of the house, later on the class bench and on the blackboard with white chalk or colored chalks, on the school floor, etc.
Seeing my love for painting, my mother sent me to painting classes. Later, when I grew up, I learned realistic nature painting from several renowned teachers.
Later, I was admitted to university for Art, but due to the revolution in my country and the political situation, I was not allowed to study academically!
